As soon as we spotted this very tempting Tiramisu Tear & Share Bun from Tesco, we knew it had to be investigated. If you’re a fan of the classic Italian dessert and a soft, gooey cinnamon-style bun, this feels like a match made in heaven.

Landing in larger Tesco stores from this week, the Tiramisu Tear & Share Bun is a bakery twist on the viral dessert trend we’re seeing everywhere right now. It’s a soft, pillowy bun packed with dark chocolate chips and a rich cocoa-coffee filling, finished with a generous layer of mocha-flavoured soft cheese icing and a dusting of cocoa powder. In short: everything you want from a tiramisu, but in a tear-and-share format that’s perfect for grazing. It looks indulgent, comforting and exactly the kind of treat we’d happily make a detour for.

And if coffee isn’t your thing, Tesco also has a second flavour that leans fully into childhood nostalgia. The Birthday Cake Tear & Share Bun is filled with a sweet raspberry-style centre, topped with vanilla soft cheese icing and finished with colourful sugar strands. It’s playful, fun and clearly inspired by the ongoing love for birthday cake-flavoured everything.

Both buns weigh in at 408g and retail for £3.50, which feels like great value for something this decadent. They’re ideal for sharing with friends, bringing along to a gathering or, let’s be honest, working your way through over a couple of afternoons with a cup of tea.
