Spring has officially arrived, and with it comes a wave of lighter, more seasonal treats to enjoy as the days get longer. The latest launch to catch our eye? A brand-new Sakura Cherry Blossom Lindor from Lindt.
Classic milk chocolate Lindor balls will always be our go-to when we need a chocolate fix, but this new flavour feels like a refreshing twist for the season. And judging by early reactions, it’s already proving very popular with shoppers.
Inspired by Japan’s iconic cherry blossom season, the new Lindor features a delicate Sakura-flavoured truffle. Inside is a smooth, melting cherry blossom filling, all encased in a velvety white chocolate shell. The result is light, floral and slightly sweet, offering a more elegant take on the classic chocolate ball.
This launch forms part of Lindt’s wider Japanese-inspired collection, which taps into the ongoing popularity of flavours like matcha. Alongside the cherry blossom truffle, there’s also a Matcha Lindor, blending creamy white chocolate with a subtly earthy green tea centre for a more balanced, less sweet option.
For something a little different, Lindt has also reintroduced its Tokyo Style Matcha & Strawberry bar, combining white chocolate with ceremonial-grade matcha, fruity strawberry notes and crispy roasted rice for added texture.
The collection is available now in Lindt stores, online and at selected retailers, but only for a limited time. So if you’re looking to switch up your usual chocolate choice this spring, this might be one to try.
