There’s a new Viennetta flavour causing a bit of a stir online right now, and if the rumours are true, dessert fans are going to be very happy later this year. Food influencer and certified snack review @johns_snackreviews has started sharing images of what appears to be a brand-new Mango flavoured Viennetta, and it might be the most exciting twist to a nostalgic dessert we've ever seen..

While the product hasn’t been officially confirmed by Wall’s yet, the images show the iconic layered ice cream dessert reimagined with a tropical mango flavour - and people are genuinely obsessed with the idea.

The original Viennetta has had a bit of a resurgence lately, with shoppers rediscovering the retro dessert and even competitors are creating mini stick versions in supermarkets. And mango seems to be the flavour of the season with so many brands bringing out tropical-inspired products this year.

An official statement from a spokesperson from Viennetta said “While we’re pleased to see excitement around the Viennetta brand, there are currently no plans to launch a Mango flavour of the iconic dessert. We do, however, have exciting plans for the brand later this year and look forward to sharing more details with fans in due course.”

Well there you have it, sadly it looks like it won't be coming out anytime soon... but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed - and plenty of freezer space ready, just in case...
