Fortnum & Mason has just announced what might be our dream day out. Launching on 14 May inside its iconic Piccadilly store is the brand-new Biscuitorium — a full-blown biscuit destination with more than 70 varieties of biscuits to browse, taste and obsess over. And this isn’t just a shelf of tins and shortbread. Fortnum’s has gone all in on the experience.

At the centre of the space is the new Biscuit Library, an interactive station designed to help customers discover their ideal biscuit match. There are 12 different flavour profiles to choose from, including Buttery & Traditional, Dark & Decadent and even Gluten-Free & Vegan. Simply press the button that best matches your taste, and your perfect biscuit lights up ready for tasting. Frankly, we don’t know how we’re supposed to choose just one.

But perhaps the most outrageous launch of all is the Whoppalossus, Fortnum’s largest biscuit ever. Weighing in at a hefty 400g and measuring 15.5cm wide, this supersized creation is based on the retailer’s cult Chocolossus biscuit, but designed for sharing (or not, we won’t judge). There are two flavours available: Marshmallow & Salted Almond Caramel and Pistachio & Raspberry Marshmallow. Each one features layers of buttery oat biscuit coated in chocolate and packed with indulgent fillings. It’s somewhere between a biscuit, a cake and a full dessert situation.

And because this is Fortnum’s, they’ve even created a dedicated Biscuits for Drinks collection. Think Yuzu & Pink Peppercorn biscuits designed to pair with gin, or Vanilla & Smoked Sea Salt for whisky lovers.

We’re already planning our visit but the only challenge now is deciding where to begin..!
