Aldi is helping shoppers go big for Father's Day this year, and when we say big, we mean really big. The supermarket is bringing back its hugely popular 'Godfather' Steak, a giant 794g rump that was one of last year's most popular Father's Day launches.

The supersized steak is returning to stores from Monday 15 June, so you can treat dad to something a little more impressive than the usual socks and chocolates. And at nearly 800g, this is the sort of steak that can be for sharing... or as a challenge.

Rump is already one of our favourite cuts thanks to its rich, beefy flavour and versatility, but Aldi has taken things a step further by ageing the steak for 21 days, helping to develop a deeper, more intense flavour. Despite its hefty size, it costs just £11.99, which feels remarkably good value considering you could comfortably feed three or four people from one pack.

And alongside the 'Godfather' steak is the brand-new Flat Iron Man Steak, another extra-large cut designed for sharing, alongside a Wagyu Bone-in Sirloin and a Bourbon Beef Short Rib, which immediately caught our attention. Slow-cooked, sticky beef with a bourbon glaze is always going to be a crowd-pleaser.

To complete the feast, Aldi will also be selling all the essential sides, including Skin On Beef Dripping Chips, Chunky Oven Chips and Cavolo Nero, making it easy to build an entire Father's Day meal from one shop.

The range lands in stores from 15 June, and if last year's reaction to the Godfather is anything to go by, it won't be hanging around for long.
