Another day, another brilliant M&S food launch. This time, the retailer has expanded its Chunked N' Loaded cookie range with a flavour inspired by one of our favourite retro desserts, and we think it might just be the best one yet. Introducing the new Chunked N' Loaded Chocolate & Cherry Cookie.

Taking inspiration from what we think is the classic Black Forest gâteau flavours, this indulgent cookie combines a rich, all-butter cookie dough with generous chunks of dark chocolate and chewy dried sour cherries. The first bite is intensely chocolatey, but it's the cherries that really steal the show. Their gentle sharpness cuts through the richness beautifully, creating a cookie that's indulgent without ever feeling overly sweet.

Chocolate and sour cherry have always been a match made in heaven, and we're very pleased to see the underrated fruit finally getting the attention it deserves.

The new flavour joins an already impressive line-up, including Chocolate & Hazelnut, Pistachio, Salted Caramel & Pretzel and our previous favourite, the Custard Cream Cookie. We didn't think anything would knock that off the top spot, but this new addition has managed it.

Like the rest of the Chunked N' Loaded range, it's generously sized, packed with fillings and has that bakery-style feel that makes it seem much more like something you'd pick up from an independent coffee shop than a supermarket shelf. It retails for £2.10 for a 105g cookie.

If you're already a fan of the range, this is the flavour to try next. And if you've somehow never picked one up before, we'd suggest starting here. It might just become your new favourite too.
