Winnie the Pooh is always happiest with his head in a ‘hunny’ pot and now Fortnum & Mason is giving you the chance to bring a little bit of the Hundred Acre Wood home.
To celebrate the beloved bear’s 100th anniversary with Disney (doesn’t he wear it well?), the luxury department store is launching an adorable collection of Winnie the Pooh-inspired food and homeware – and we’ve already got our eye on the charming Disney Winnie the Pooh Hunny Pot Hamper.
You'll have to wait until 16 July to shop the range, when it launches in-store and online at Fortnum & Mason, but we’ve had a first look.
The standout hamper (£170) is packed with honey-inspired treats, including Hunny Oat Biscuits with Raspberries, Jelly Bee Sweets, a Squeezy Honey Bear and a selection of honey truffles, alongside an exclusive Winnie the Pooh soft toy.
And as you’d expect, the wicker hamper itself is just as lovely. Designed to look like a giant ‘hunny’ pot, it’s the sort of keepsake you'll want to hang on to long after you’ve polished off the contents. We think it’d make the sweetest toy storage for a nursery or playroom.
The collection also includes Fortnum’s exclusive 100 Aker Wood Hunny. To create it, beehives were placed in Friends Field in Ashdown Forest – the very same woodland that inspired AA Milne’s Hundred Acre Wood.
What to read next
It's available in three limited-edition formats: spring and summer honeys, each with flavours shaped by the surrounding flowers and trees, plus a keepsake ceramic hunny pot filled with creamed spring honey. We have a feeling it’ll become a real collector’s item.
If the hamper is a little beyond your budget, there are plenty of smaller treats to choose from, including beautifully decorated Winnie the Pooh & Friends iced biscuits, honey truffles and a milk chocolate bar.
The collection also includes mugs, tea towels and even a themed afternoon tea inspired by everyone’s favourite honey-loving bear. Prices for the afternoon tea start from £45 for children and feature character-inspired patisserie alongside classic sandwiches and scones.
