Look, we love gingerbread houses as much as the next person, but the traditional festive treat is facing some serious competition this week.
First, M&S drops a chocolate biscuit Halloween house to tide us over until December, then Cadbury announces the return of its 1kg chocolate build.
But now ASDA has usurped both with a build-your-own Yum Yum tower kit containing deliciously sweet, doughy bites. And we cannot contain our excitement.
Alongside plenty of Yum Yums (no one will notice if a couple go, ahem, missing) you’ll find rich chocolate sauce for drizzling all over, and a sachet of festive decorations for adding the finishing touch.
Not only is it a great alternative to a traditional gingerbread house – and dare we say it, a hell of a lot tastier – but it’s also perfect if you’re not much of a baker. Who needs to slave over a mixer and a hot oven when you can simply assemble this beauty instead? Not us!
An easy activity to do with the kids AND a showstopping dessert to serve at your Christmas party – win, win. We can’t wait to get our hands on one.

It's part of ASDA's 2026 Christmas range, which includes over 500 products, with everything from wagyu pigs in blankets, to a stunning mirror glaze cheesecake.
ASDA’s build-your-own Yum Yum kit will be available in stores from December (exact date to be confirmed).
Now all that’s left to decide is who gets the first Yum Yum.
