M &S has given Colin the Caterpillar his cutest Christmas makeover yet – and after seeing him in person at the retailer's Christmas showcase last night, I can confirm he's every bit as adorable as he looks!

It's the brand-new 'Get Your Skis On Colin', a very cute festive version of the iconic cake and it swaps Colin's usual look for a cosy winter outfit, complete with edible chocolate giant skis (he does have multiple feet to cater for!!) and the sweetest little chocolate ski goggles. Honestly, the skis alone made me squeal with excitement when I saw this - no joke!

But surprisingly the makeover isn't just cosmetic. The festive Colin also contains around 75g more chocolate than the classic cake (about 30% more chocolate!!), making it even more of a treat for anyone who firmly believes Colin's chocolatey decorations are the best bit. The extra chocolate comes courtesy of all those festive details, helping make this the most Chocolatey version yet.

Inside, you'll still find everything that has made Colin a birthday favourite for generations: soft chocolate sponge layered with rich chocolate buttercream, wrapped in milk chocolate and finished with his signature smiling face. The festive edition simply adds a generous helping of extra chocolate in the likes of ski goggles and skiis!

Available now from M&S and Ocado, Get Your Skis On Colin weighs in at 700g (compared with the original's 625g) and is perfect for festive birthdays, Christmas parties or simply anyone who believes Colin isn't just for special occasions.

It isn't the only festive favourite catching our eye this year, either. We've already been won over by the return of the dark chocolate & chilli tortillas, couldn't stop talking about the indulgent winter twist on their best-selling whips, and now Christmas Colin has officially joined the list.
