Few actresses can keep us glued to our screens the way Vicky McClure can - and her performance in psychological thriller, Without Sin, is no exception. The series, which first aired in 2022 and is now available to watch on ITV, follows grieving mother Stella (McClure), three years on from the murder of her 14-year-old daughter. When she comes face to face with her daughter's killer, she finds herself swept up in a complex mystery - and it's one that'll have you glued to your screen.
Across four gripping episodes, we see how Stella's life has completely unravelled, with her having lost her relationships with loved ones and abandoned her job. And when she’s offered an opportunity to talk to her daughter’s killer, revelations come to light that change everything she thought she knew about her daughter’s case. It's twisty, shocking - and so addictive you'll want to watch it in one go.
Before you tune in, here’s everything you need to know about Without Sin, including the plot, cast and how to watch it.
What is Without Sin about?
The four-part ITV drama revolves around Stella (Vicky McClure) who, after the murder of her 14-year-old daughter, is consumed by grief and guilt. Stella has since isolated herself from her family and friends, including her now-estranged husband Paul (Perry Fitzpatrick). She ditches her social life, smokes marijuana, and quits her office job for long, quiet nights working as an Uber driver.
When she's approached by the Restorative Justice Project, a programme that bring victims and offenders together to address the impact of the crime, she sets up a meeting with her daughter’s killer, Charles Stone (Johnny Harris), in prison, believing he wants to atone for his sins. But when Charles makes a shock revelation, her whole world is turned upside down once again.

What other Vicky McClure series can I watch now?
Top of our pick of Vicky McClure dramas is psychological drama, Insomnia, in which she plays successful lawyer Emma. When Emma abruptly stops sleeping, her behaviour becomes disturbing as she struggles to distinguish between reality and nightmare. Insomnia is available to watch now on Paramount+. For something equally tense, we'd suggest The Replacement, which follows pregnant architect Ellen (Morven Christie) as she becomes increasingly paranoid over the woman (Vicky) who's been hired to fill in for her at work. Insomnia is available to watch on Netflix.
