The Prince and Princess of Wales have now been married for 15 years, and together even longer. Like any couple in a long term relationship, they've fallen into a familiar rhythm and like to make jokes about each other. Recently, Prince William co-hosted a special morning radio takeover, and revealed the question Kate was 'constantly' asking him.
William co-presented an episode of Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden from the Isles of Scilly on Friday 22 May, and Where Is My Husband? by Raye was played over the airwaves. Prince William joked that song's titular question was something 'my wife is constantly asking me' and said that Kate 'likes that song a lot'. While on air, Prince William was also invited to choose some songs of his own to play, and he picked one in honour of his Princess Charlotte.
Choosing to play Opalite by Taylor Swift, Prince William revealed, 'Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis to be fair, but Charlotte particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift.' Prince William, Princess Charlotte and Prince George had the chance to meet Taylor in person after seeing her perform her Eras tour, which he described as 'amazing.'
Prince William also explained that, although his two youngest are both Taylor Swift fans, they don't always agree on what music should be playing. While on air, Prince William said that Prince George was boarding the night before so would already be at school, but that his other two children would be getting ready to head off.
He said that they would be listening to their dad on the radio from home, so he chose to give them a message directly. 'Charlotte and Louis, if you’re listening make sure you’re on time please,' he said, adding, 'make sure you’re not fighting over who’s listening to what this morning.'
Prince William confessed that the morning rush 'could be' chaotic, just like any other family. He helps keep the peace by taking one of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' favourite snacks in the car for the journey to school; jam sandwiches. However, that did mean a little cleaning up after as he said that, 'Louis will leave jam fingerprints throughout the car, which is really helpful.'
The Prince and Princess of Wales married in 2011, welcoming their first child, Prince George two years later in 2013. Princess Charlotte followed in 2015, and their youngest, Prince Louis, in 2018.
