Something important we learned today: it turns out we never grew out of our obsession with Rachel Stevens… also known as Rachel from S Club, or ‘the one from S Club whose photos we kept taking to our hairdressers’. And Rachel, it appears, never grew out of being extremely stylish. While back in the late 90s and early 2000s, it was Rachel’s crop tops and bedazzled jeans we craved, these days her outfits tend to be more pared back – but just as covetable.

Case in point: appearing at day one of Wimbledon, the 48-year-old singer wore a look that had us racing to Google – and put to rest any notion that wearing traditional tennis whites is the only way to be stylish at Wimbledon.

Rachel attended Wimbledon with Evian, and posed for photos in the ‘Mountain of Youth’ VIP suite to celebrate 200 years of the water brand. What might look like a dress is in fact a matching top and trousers set from Ralph Lauren, both of which, alas, are already sold out.

Rachel wore her top and trousers set with simple, classic accessories – an envelope clutch bag, a gold chain link bracelet, a gold bangle, and a pair of aviator sunglasses. We also spotted her carrying a specific handheld fan, which we're pretty certain is the Shark ChillPill 3. FYI, that's a fan we're definitely on board with buying – The Good Housekeeping Institute named it the best misting handheld fan and scored it a very impressive 83 out of 100. Hey, if it's good enough for our favourite member of S Club, it's good enough for us.

Rachel Stevens attended the event with her manager, Benji Rom, after telling the Mail on Sunday that she's open to finding love again following the end of her 13-year marriage to estate agent Alex Bourne. 'I never get chatted up,' shared the singer. 'I get people very occasionally come up to me, there will be some people who come and say hi, which is lovely, but otherwise I just go about my day. I have not been on any dating apps but I'm really open to it. I just love meeting people and you've got to follow your heart.'
