It's been a stellar weekend of British sport; with England winning their latest World Cup match, plus the Wimbledon finals, as London's SW19 post code once again hosted tennis stars from around the world. The Princess of Wales made three visits to Wimbledon this year, including two over the weekend, to present trophies to the men's and women's singles finals winners.
While The Princess' first two visits were solo affairs, on Sunday (13 July), she brought her two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and husband, Prince William, along to enjoy the action with her. It was a hot day at the tennis, so the Princess of Wales turned to a stylish hat to help her keep cool, and Princess Charlotte chose her own in a different style.
Kate's chic sun hat was an LK Bennett pick which, unfortunately, has now sold out. Luckily, however, there are some fabulous (and affordable) alternatives on the high street, with Katie Loxton's wide-brimmed straw hat being the closest match. The natural straw colour, relaxed curves of the wide brim and subtle 'cut out' design mirror Kate's own. The best part? It's less than half the price of Kate's and (at time of writing) it's still in stock:
Princess Charlotte and her brother, Prince George (as well as other members of the crowd) appear to be wearing Wimbledon branded trilbies. Their exact hats aren't available online, but there are plenty of similar models across the high street at a range of prices, starting from £22:
For her final appearance at Wimbledon this year, the Princess of Wales chose an olive green midi dress with loosely frilled shoulders, where one side fell elegantly into an asymmetric shawl. Her daughter, Princess Charlotte, however, opted for a bright blue dress, matching one her mum wore to watch the tennis last year.
Prince George, meanwhile, followed his dad, the Prince of Wales', lead, in a grown up suit, and striped tie for the occasion. The family were snapped making their way through the grounds together, and waving to spectators from a raised walkway.
Taking to Instagram, the Princess of Wales described the men's final on Sunday as 'brilliant' and congratulated Jannik Sinner on his win.
Missing from the royal line-up was the youngest child in the family, Prince Louis, who has been yet to attend Wimbledon. At 8 years old, it may be that the Prince and Princess of Wales are waiting until he's older to bring him along to watch the tennis.
