Alison Hammond is one of our favourite people and we genuinely cannot wait to have her back on our screens with the next season of The Great British Bake Off. Especially as joining her is another of our favourite people, the Nigella Lawson, who replaces Prue Leith as Paul Hollywood’s fellow judge this season.
While we still don’t have an exact date for the release of the series (beyond knowing it’ll be sometime in September), what we do have is a first-look photo of the entire GBBO dream team: Paul Hollywood, Alison Hammond, Nigella Lawson and Noel Fielding. And in that photo, along with Alison’s excellent new ‘crème brûlée’ highlights, our eyes were drawn straight to her outfit for the occasion.
The presenter has consistently been nailing it in the style stakes recently, wearing all sorts of chic co-ords and midi dresses on the This Morning sofa. Alison’s choice for the Bake Off promo shot is no exception.

We can see this dress working for all sorts of occasions. Dressed up with heels (perhaps in red to pull out the poppies from dress’s ‘elegant garden’ print?) it’d be great for a wedding or a garden party, but equally a pair of flats makes it wearable for everyday wear. Even as we head into autumn, it can still be a repeat wear – just layer over a chunky-knit jumper to fake the appearance of a new floral skirt, or add on a simple light cardigan.
