Whether she's presenting Desert Island Discs or penning GH's very own Writing Home With... column, Lauren Laverne is a forever favourite and a real source of inspiration for life, musical tastes and general vibes.
The broadcaster is of course in attendance at London Fashion Week and kicked off proceedings by attending the Mulberry by Christopher Kane show on Sunday with an unexpected plus-one: her son, Mack. It's easy to forget that Lauren Laverne is a mum of two boys, and even easier not to realise that those sons are now in their teens. The passing of time, eh?
It turns out that the mother-son Mulberry trip doubled as a celebration of Mack's 16th birthday, which Lauren marked with a sweet message on her Instagram. '16 years ago today I was bringing this newborn mini fashion icon home from the hospital,' wrote Lauren. 'We had no idea of the fun that was to come. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate his birthday than by seeing the incredible @mulberrybychristopherkane #lfw show. Thank you so much for making us so welcome, team @mulberryengland! Mack, we love you more than we can say. Happy 16th birthday to our fabulous boy. Xx'
In the accompanying photos from the outing, we couldn't help but notice just how similar Mack and his mum look. Along with near-identical facial features, the duo both opted for tailored suiting looks – Lauren in an on-trend chocolate brown made-to-measure suit complete with a lavallière tie, while 16-year-old Mack went for classic black.
Can we also take a moment to appreciate the greatness of both Lauren and Mack's hair? Both are rocking the centre-parted, loosely-waved blonde locks of dreams. There's proof that this style works for everyone, whether you're over 40 or still in your teens.
Many of the family's celeb pals popped up in the comments to wish Mack a happy birthday and remark on the resemblance. We also spotted Lauren revealing her son's 'icon': Claudia Winkleman. Good taste, young man.
Lauren and her son were sat on the front row next to some more of our favourite people, with Anita Rani on one side and Cat Deeley on the other. All were immaculately dressed, obviously. But you really can't get better than twinning with your offspring.
