We’re thrilled to have Nigella as the new judge on Bake Off, from her saucy innuendos to her interesting cake eating technique. But we’re also here for the beauty (her creamy skin!) and fashion inspiration, and this week she stepped out in an eye-catching leopard print jacket that had us hunting down similar styles on the high street.
It was a fitting choice for a week featuring brand new Audience Choice and Wearable Bake challenges – forget showstopping cheesecakes, we think the jacket deserves a place in both categories.
Nigella’s leopard print denim jacket is from Sosander, but it’s sadly – and unsurprisingly given it was a summer drop – sold out. However, never fear, as we’ve found a very similar jacket from Next and it’s just £18 in the sale (although it’s selling out fast).
In a lightweight denim, it’s the perfect transitional piece for these October days that start a little chilly but feel decidedly summery by lunchtime (the hot sweats are real). And leopard print is, as we know, a neutral, going with all the new-season shades, from burgundy and bitter chocolate to chartreuse.
We love the boxy style which will go well with everything from your favourite jeans (a la Nigella), or with a tailored trouser.
It’s selling very fast, though, with only a few sizes left, so we’ve included a range of alternative options below, including the must-have funnel-neck leopard print jacket from M&S that's just arrived in-store – in a faux fur, it’s one for when the temperatures drop but it has the same boxy 1960s shape.
