Earlier this week, fans of Mariska Hargitay took notice when the Law & Order actress stepped out wearing an engagement ring at a pop-up event in New York City. She was out and about with a shiny rock...on her shoes.
Mariska was at the event with her husband, Peter Hermann—and anyone who’s been following her for a while knows that the couple has been together for years. (In fact, they just celebrated their 22-year anniversary in August!)
With that being said, we weren’t fazed by her actual wedding band—but we were pleasantly surprised by Mariska’s Alexander Wang Akilita Slingbacks that feature diamond rings at the toe points. It’s quite a fitting style choice while out on a date with her longtime hubby.
If you click the arrows on the image of the shoe below, you can see a better angle of the ring (the pointed-toe design almost forces your eyes to look at the rock). The stilettos are made with leather, per the brand—and they each have a sleek slingback strap along with a 4-inch heel.
And while it may look like the real deal, the ring itself isn’t actual jewelry you can take off and put on. The “diamond” is a glass crystal, and the “band” is made of brass. This detail truly makes the look one of a kind, and truthfully, you won’t be able to find something close (trust me, I’ve dug around).
