After spending a busy few days at the front rows of Paris Fashion Week, Katie Holmes arrived at the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center in New York City—and her seemingly cozy outfit was the perfect choice for a screening.
The actress kept her entire look casual with a silky, cream-colored button-up over a lace camisole, slouchy taupe trousers, brown leather loafers, and perhaps my favorite piece of the fit: an oversize suede aviator jacket.
It makes for the ultimate fall staple. For one, it’s suede—which our fashion experts say is a classic for the season—and its muted brown hue makes it easy to pair with lighter and deeper shades (like Katie did for the festival). The dropped shoulders give it that oversized fit, and the front placket conceals the snaps for a clean, streamlined look.
We identified Katie’s jacket as the Paneled Suede Bomber by Italian luxury fashion brand Brunello Cucinelli. And while inventory is low, it’s surprisingly still in stock in a few sizes. The caveat? It comes with an $11,000-plus price tag, thanks to its premium suede, handcrafted construction and limited production.
But here’s the good news: I found a few options that come close if you wanted to replicate the look. Reformation’s Veda Taelor Suede Jacket features that same hidden closure, and the coloring appears identical. If you don’t mind faux suede, Amazon has one on sale at under $40.
I also included a few more that vary in style and color, but get you that same vibe for less. Check them out below.
