Morena Baccarin is trading her role as a first responder in Edgewater for some magic in space.

Over the last few months, fans have seen the actress every Friday on the hit series Sheriff Country. And while the Fire Country spinoff will return for season 2 on CBS this fall, Morena will remain on screen in a different capacity.

On May 14, the actress posted a photo to Instagram of herself in character for the upcoming film Masters of the Universe. The image showed her portraying the Sorceress, and she revealed that the movie will hit theaters on June 5.

“The Sorceress has arrived,” she wrote in the caption. “@mastersmovie in theaters June 5.”

The announcement had Sheriff Country fans fired up in the comments.

“You book the coolest roles!” one person exclaimed. “WHAT!? Now I'm sold,” another agreed. “So awesome can't wait to watch the movie it's going to come out amazing 💖❤️‍🔥⚔️🗡⚡️💯,” a different follower added.

Masters of the Universe is a live adaptation of the Mattel franchise of the same name, and follows Prince Adam/He-Man (Nicholas Galitzine) as he uses his magical Sword of Power to return to his broken kingdom after being separated for 15 years. With the help of Teela (Camila Mendes) and Man-at-Arms (Idris Elba), the trio band together to save the prince’s home planet of Eternia from the evil Skeletor (Jared Leto).

Morena’s character is Teela’s mother and the guardian of Castle Grayskull, the fictional location that supposedly holds the secrets to conquering the universe.

We need to mark our calendars for this one!
