Ransom Canyon has been canceled after two seasons on Netflix.

Star Minka Kelly broke her silence on Instagram after learning the news.

Fans rallied around the actress in the comments.

Minka Kelly is saying goodbye to a big project.

The former Friday Night Lights actress stars in the Netflix drama Ransom Canyon, which dropped its second season in July. In the series, she played Quinn O’Grady, the love interest of Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) and a bar owner in Ranson, a small Texas town.

On September 10, Netflix canceled the show, and Minka shared a sweet message about it, along with a video montage of her and Josh’s characters throughout the series.

“Appreciating this little trip down memory lane as we say farewell,” she wrote on Instagram on September 11. “All good things must come to an end. And so it is. Thank you all for giving us two beautiful seasons! I love you forever my Ransom Canyon family!! 🤠♥️.”

Fans immediately voiced their frustration over the end of Ransom Canyon—and let Minka know in the comments.

“It's so sad that it got cancelled; it had everything going for it to have a third season so we could see more of them together 🥹,” one person lamented. “I am devastated!!!! Literally my fav show on Netflix 😭,” another said. “Such a great show! Netflix has lost their minds to cancel this one,” a different follower added.

Showrunner April Blair had previously shared her thoughts about what could’ve happened if the drama had moved forward with season 3.

“[There will] definitely [be] new faces,” Blair exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2026. “I definitely want to learn more about Lucas (Garrett Wareing) and Kit (Casey W. Johnson)’s parents. I feel like we’ve never really talked about that.”

We’ll miss this show!
