Costa Coffee is kicking off summer with a seriously exciting drinks menu, and there’s one product from the entire range that’s already stealing the spotlight: a Jaffa Cake frappé.
Landing in stores nationwide from 30 April, the limited-edition drink is an exciting partnership of two very iconic British brands. The Costa x McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Frappé brings together two much-loved flavours in one deliciously creamy iced coffee. Think smooth chocolate blended with that signature zesty orange flavour, creating a drink that’s refreshing, and super nostalgic.
It’s described as rich without feeling too heavy, and the citrus notes cuts through the sweetness in a way that makes it surprisingly easy to drink (and devour in almost one gulp). If you’re a fan of the classic biscuit (or cake, depending on where you stand), this feels like an immediate must-try.
Next up in the range is the new Hazelnut Crème range, which is available as both an Iced Whipped Latte and a Frappé, and are all about creamy texture and deep, nutty flavour. Each one is finished with a generous drizzle of hazelnut crème sauce, giving them a dessert-like quality that feels perfect for warm afternoon pick-me-ups. They’re more on the indulgent side, but look sensational with it's light, whipped texture.
Also on the menu, Costa is continuing to experiment with bold, summery flavours. There’s an expansion of its Sweet Ube range, alongside new fruity options like the Cherry Vanilla Iced Whipped Latte, plus lighter choices including iced teas and refreshers (that kiwi one looks so good) for when you want something cooling.
But it’s the Jaffa Cake Frappé that really got our spirits high this week, so if you’re planning your next coffee run like us, this is one drink you won’t want to miss.
