I still remember trying my first Cadbury Brunch Bar and thinking, this is really really good. And somewhat underrated?! It had that perfect mix of chewy and crispy that made it feel a little more satisfying than your average cereal bar, and over the years it’s quietly become one of those snacks we always come back to.

Now the range has had a bit of a refresh, and we’ve just spotted a new flavour that’s very worthy of your next snack attack post lunch: the Cadbury Brunch Light Zesty Orange Bar.

And we've just spotted that it is currently on offer at Ocado, where you can pick up a 4-pack for just £1 instead of the usual £1.50, which is excellent value for a branded snack right now.

The bar itself combines wholegrain oats and bran flakes with puffed Rice Krispies for that signature Brunch Bar texture, while the orange zest adds a fresh citrusy taste that stops it tasting overly sweet. And, in true Brunch Bar fashion, it’s half dipped in smooth Cadbury milk chocolate, because no snack is improved by less chocolate.

Texture-wise, it really ticks every box for me. It's chewy, crispy, creamy and indulgent. And it's exactly what i'll be reaching for when 3pm arrives. And in even more exciting Cadbury news, the chocolate giant has also confirmed that a golden-dipped Twirl bar is on the way. Naturally, we’ll be sprinting to the shops the moment that one lands..
