M &S is fully leaning into fun summer drinks this year, and the timing couldn’t be better with the bank holiday weekend around the corner. Launching in cafés from tomorrow is the brand-new M&S Café Summer Menu, and there are two drinks in particular that immediately grabbed our attention: a Custard Cream Milkshake and an Iced Almond Croissant Latte (!!)

And it seems that 2026 is officially the year of the custard cream. First came the giant custard cream chocolate bar, then the custard cream stuffed cookies, and now a full milkshake version. And we are 100% on board. The new Custard Cream Milkshake (£4.50) is topped with whipped cream and finished with an actual M&S Custard Cream biscuit for maximum nostalgia. It looks rich, creamy and exactly the kind of treat we want to sip on in the sunshine.

Then there’s the Iced Almond Croissant Latte (£4.30 hot or iced): a rich house blend espresso which has been blended with creamy milk and smooth almond croissant flavour syrup, topped with whipped cream and finished with a sprinkle of crispy pastry flakes for a bakery-inspired crunch. And it's been developed to taste just like their iconic pastry! So fun.

And for the die-hard matcha fans, M&S has gone all in with a customisable matcha menu. Shoppers can choose their milk, syrup and whether they want the drink hot or iced. Even better, the drinks are made using PerfectTed ceremonial-grade matcha, which already has a cult following for its smooth, creamy taste. There’s an Iced Mango Matcha on the menu that has my name all over it. The hardest part is deciding which drink to go for first..
