There’s only one way we’re coping with this heatwave, and that’s by filling the freezer with as many frozen treats as physically possible. And all we want is to devour M&S’s brand-new Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites.
These little frozen snacks are exactly the sort of thing we want to eat when it’s too hot to function properly. Each bite is made up of chewy frozen cookie dough crammed with dark chocolate chips, then coated in a thick layer of smooth milk chocolate for extra goodness. They look rich, intensely chocolatey and dangerously easy to keep reaching for straight from the freezer.
And the texture looks like it sits somewhere between frozen cookie dough and an ice cream bite, with that soft chewiness in the middle balanced by the crunch of the chocolate shell on the outside.
The new launch forms part of a much bigger frozen range refresh from M&S too, with the retailer adding 47 new and improved ice creams and frozen desserts to shelves this week - but unfortunately these aren't on shelves yet - you'll have to wait for a few more weeks sadly! The refreshed range includes everything from fruity ice lollies and fro-yos to loaded ice cream sticks and other over-the-top dessert creations designed for summer snacking.
In other M&S news, we recently asked the GH team to share their ultimate M&S heatwave essentials, and the responses were surprisingly passionate. Standout favourites included a smoky sweetcorn relish that’s apparently incredible piled onto hot dogs, plus some Spanish-inspired pinchos that are perfect for easy picky bits dinners when it’s too hot to cook properly. Looks like our next M&S shop is going to require a much bigger freezer compartment..
