One of Aldi's most talked-about wines is making a return, and it's had quite the growth spurt. If you've somehow missed the 'Chicken Wine' phenomenon over the past couple of years, allow us to introduce you to Le Petit Poulet Rosé. The French rosé became a bit of a social media sensation thanks to its charming chicken label, wallet-friendly price and surprisingly good quality. Now, Aldi has supersized it for summer with the launch of Le Grand Poulet Rosé Magnum.

Landing in stores from 6 July, the new 150cl magnum bottle retails for a very affordable £11.99, and holds the equivalent of two standard bottles - that's around 12 glasses of wine! Making it ideal for barbecues, garden parties and those long lunches that somehow turn into dinner.

And it's not just the size that's impressive. Compared with La Vieille Ferme Rosé Magnum (£17.50), Aldi's version is £5.51 cheaper, saving shoppers around 31% while still promising all the crisp, refreshing flavours you'd want from a summer rosé.

It's a rosé with a lovely pale peach-pink colour with aromas of citrus and red berries. It's light, dry and refreshing, making it exactly the sort of bottle you'll want chilling in the fridge ready for this weekends sunny evenings.

Aldi is also continuing to sell the original Le Petit Poulet Rosé (75cl, £6.29). But with summer entertaining season in full swing, we have a feeling the bigger bottle is going to be more convenient to quench that thirst.
