Cosy season is fast approaching, now that the scorching summer is finally giving way to autumn. As the nights draw in, we're dreaming of candles, cups of tea and cuddling up on the sofa in our comfiest clothes. And our unexpected loungewear inspiration? Emma Willis' backstage dressing gown.

Emma Willis shared a selection of photographs to her Instagram looking glam in a black lace top with sleek, styled hair and glowing makeup. The star credited her glam team with creating her look, and shared snippets of her getting ready behind the scenes. In one shot (third slide in the post below) Emma can be seen laughing while she gets her hair done in front of a Hollywood lit dressing room mirror. But it was Emma's impossibly plush dressing gown that caught our eye.

Emma wore an oversized lilac-grey robe with a big hood to keep cosy while she was getting ready. It looked extra soft and comfortable, and got us excited to snuggle up in one of our own. Emma hasn't shared where she got her own dressing gown from, but, luckily, we've tested a range at the Good Housekeeping Institute and narrowed down the very best...

The best news of all? The one we judged 'best for softness' during testing (above) is current on sale for £36! Now, the gown does only come in classic white, so if you were after a similar shade to Emma's this might not be the one for you (but this one just could be...).

Earlier this year, Emma Willis was announced as one of the new presenters on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The channel shared a video revealing the presenter trio, the clip teasing that it could be a duo with initially only two stools in shot. Emma is joined by Strictly's Johannes Radebe for a few snaps, before the pair beckon in the last person in their trio - comedian Josh Widdecombe.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 26 September.
