Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is a firm style icon and, this week, she's given us inspiration once again in an eviable long sleeve midi dress. During her solo trip to Zambia, the Duchess wore a designer handkerchief hem dress (with a steep price tag) but we've found one which emulates her look for much less.
The Duchess was in Lusaka on Tuesday (15 September), the capital of Zambia, to meet with the President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema and First Lady Mutinta Hichilema, alongside British High Commissioner to Zambia, Rebecca Terzeon. The group were photographed outside Community House and, for the important occasion, Sophie was wearing the Silk-Blend V-Neck Skye Midi Dress by Veronica Beard.
While the dress is available to buy online, it does £700 which is outside most people's price range. Luckily, with handkerchief hems being bang on trend at the moment, there are plenty of high street options which recreate Sophie's style at a more affordable price. Izabel London, for example, has a design which features the same hemline as well as V-neck cut and long sleeves, in a similarly detailed print. The best part? It's currently on sale for just £26.
