‘They all have the same face!’: Reese Witherspoon joins lookalike son’s first premiere with mum & daughter

It's no secret that the family genes are strong for Reese Witherspoon, who looks strikingly similar to her daughter, Ava. However, it turns out that the resemblance extends even further to include her son, Deacon and her own mother, Betty, grandmother of Ava and Deacon.

All four family members came together over the weekend (Saturday 26 September) to support Deacon at the first film premiere for his new film Brother Save Us. The screening took place at the 57th Nashville Film Festival in Tennessee and Reese smiled alongside her children and mum on the red carpet. With all four family members standing side by side, the resemblance between them was strikingly clear. Deacon looks just like his mum, as well as his grandmother, who posed for the photograph between him and Reese.

Deacon is following his mum into the family movie business, starring in Brother Save Us as 'Cole'. IMDb describes the synopsis as, 'In the dystopian Midwest, a lonely young boy's budding relationship with a mysterious AI farm bot causes tensions to boil with his overworked older brother.' Intriguing!

For the screening, The Morning Show star Reese wore a strapless white top with smart black trousers with her hair in loose waves. Her daughter, Ava, followed suit when it came to wearing her blonde hard in waves, but opted for a striped mini dress instead. To mark his big moment, Deacon opted for a chocolate brown suit with a sheer t-shirt underneath in the same shade.

Reese has three children; Ava and Deacon who she shares with her first husband Ryan Phillippe, and Tennessee, who she shares with her previous husband, Jim Toth. Ava and Deacon have their father's last name Phillippe, rather than Witherspoon, while Reese's full name is actually Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon. Reese is the maiden name of her mother, Betty Reese, and the star chose to use her double-barrel surname as her professional name. It's become so synonymous with her, that many are surprised to learn that it's in fact her stage rather than birth name.
