Dancing With the Stars season 35 airs Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+.

Season 17 winner Amber Riley returned to the ballroom to sing during her Glee co-star Harry Shum Jr.’s performance.

The actress won the series in 2013 with her partner Derek Hough.

Dancing With the Stars week four is over—and a former winner stepped into the ballroom for a very special reason!

The competition series celebrated Mariah Carey’s music on the October 6 episode, and the season 35 cast danced to some of the singer’s greatest hits. Actor Harry Shum Jr. and his partner, Jenna Johnson, performed a Tango to “It’s Like That (feat. Jermaine Dupri & Fatman Scoop).”

For the performance, Harry’s Glee co-star and DWTS season 17 winner Amber Riley sang a cover of the song. After the big moment aired, she went on Instagram to say how special it was to return to the show.

“Thank you for having me back in the ballroom @dancingwiththestars!” she wrote in the caption. “Felt so good to see my DWTS FAMILY! @harryshumjr I am so proud of you, it’s a special experience that few people have, and I am overjoyed seeing you take it all in and having so much fun!”

“Can you imagine a Glee Alum bringing home a mirror ball!?!? I certainly can 😌 ,” she added. “Thank you @raychewlive for inviting me to sing, per usual, everything sounded AMAZING! Some of the best musicians and singers I’ve ever heard are on that show! 🫶🏾 EVERYONE VOTE text HARRY to 21523!!! #shumlikeithot #dwts I love y’all!”

Harry immediately went to the comments to thank Amber.

“Thank you for being an insanely talented human and gracing us with your iconic voice!!! I LOVE YOU @msamberpriley 😍😍😍,” he replied.

Fans were equally excited by the appearance.

“Absolutely breathtaking, big sis, you killed it 🥹😍🔥,” one person wrote. “I knew it was your voice before they even announced it!! What a nice surprise, you go girl 😍,” another agreed. “You are truly a QUEEN, Amber. Your vocals were absolutely incredible! 👑🔥❤️,” a different follower added.

Amber was paired with pro-turned-judge Derek Hough during her season in September 2013. She won the competition that go-round, with Disney star Corbin Bleu taking second place with his partner, Karina Smirnoff.

Harry scored 24 out of 30 points and made it through to next week of competition. And who knows—after Amber’s return to the show, maybe another Glee co-star will sing for a future dance!
