It's fair to say that being part of the Royal Family comes with a sizable amount of rules, expectations and royal protocols - even when it comes to what to wear. While some rules are rather traditional and more 'official' (only married women wear tiaras, for instance), there are other more modern expectations ('sensible' hemlines, no bright nail varnish colours and so on) but the younger royals have been seen to go against expectations - or at least bend the rules - in recent years.

While out and about, The Prince and Princess of Wales took part in an RNLI boat ride, visited businesses on the Bermondsey Beer Mile and exploring Borough Market in South London. While around the capital, the couple met with local businesses and organisations and had a go serving coffee, icing cakes and sampling cheese.
And, while at a brewery, Kate kindly declined a sample of beer as she revealed she'd adopted a new health rule. According to The Mirror, the Princess said, ‘since my diagnosis, I haven’t had much alcohol,’ and revealed that, ‘it’s something I have to be a lot more conscious of now.’ Kate was previously treated for cancer, but is now in remission.
