It's party conference season, which is to politicians what the Oscars is to Hollywood stars. This week, it's Labour's turn and Prime Minister Andy Burnham arrived at the party conference in Liverpool alongside his wife, Marie-France van Heel.
For the important occasion, Marie-France chose a tuxedo style dress with a wrap-around illusion bodice, over a full, pleated midi skirt. Although the dress looks like more traditional tailoring, it's actually made from indigo denim.
Marie-France's exact dress is the 'Tailored Denim Pleated Midi Dress' by Karen Millen. The good news is that it's currently reduced in the sale by 70%, down from £229 to £69. The less good news is that, while it is still available to shop online, it's selling out fast with lots of sizes already snapped up. Here's where you can still find stock (at time of writing):
Marie-France arrived with her husband Andy for the conference at the Convention Centre in Liverpool. The couple were photographed walking over the 'Bridge of Hope Again' during the third day of the Labour Party Annual Conference, which began on Sunday 27 September and continues until Wednesday 30 September.
Today was Andy Burnham's much anticipated first speech at the party since becoming Prime Minister, with Marie-France watched on in support before the pair shared a kiss.
Last week, it was widely reported that Marie-France had chosen to resign from her full time job which, according to The Observer, is in order to focus on her role as 'first lady' of the UK. Marie-France has already met with other women in equivalent positions, including the wives of the Ukrainian, Canadian and US presidents - Olena Zelenska, Diana Carney and Melania Trump respectively.
