While tennis fans excitedly wait for the 2026 U.S. Open to take place, events leading up to the occasion have already begun. U.S. Open Fan Week is currently happening in New York City, giving fans and celebs an opportunity to watch pro players participate in high-profile charity and exhibition matches.
Among the celebs watching in the crowd this week were Savannah Guthrie, broadcast journalist and the main co-anchor of NBC’s Today. Savannah is one of our go-tos for fashion inspo here at GH, and we were especially starstruck with the number she stepped out in for the event. She wore a black midi dress, brought to life with vibrant florals.
After some digging, I identified Savannah’s exact dress—it’s a midi floral print design from Dolce & Gabbana. This dress is sadly out of stock everywhere (it used to be available on Bergdorf Goodman’s site). But of course I had to see if there were some look-alikes to recreate Savannah’s look.
As it turns out, there are a ton. I found a similar, shorter option on sale also from Dolce, along with several others that are much easier on the wallet, starting at $27. I personally am inspired to shop for a similar dress for an upcoming wedding—and while florals initially give a spring or summer vibe, I think the black background helps make it suitable for fall and winter palettes. Throw on a cardigan, sharp blazer, or jacket, and you can easily take it into the cooler seasons.
I also appreciate how Savannah thoughtfully accessorized with gold and frosted jewelry, which paired well with her clear, PVC strap pointed-toe stilettos. The dress does all the talking, so not much else is needed to complete the look.
