Hope Valley: 1874 has been renewed for season 2 on Hallmark+.

Fans are begging for answers about whether the When Calls the Heart prequel series could air on Hallmark instead of its streaming site.

New episodes of Hope Valley: 1874 are expected to air sometime in 2027.

It’s been a few months since Hope Valley: 1874 aired its season 1 finale—and fans have a big thing to ask from Hallmark.

The When Calls the Heart prequel series launched on Hallmark+ earlier this year, telling the story of Rebecca Clarke (Bethany Joy Lenz) as she builds a new life in what eventually becomes Hope Valley. Clearly, fans loved the WCTH expansion, and Hallmark announced that Hope Valley: 1874 had been renewed for season 2 and would air in 2027.

While Hope Valley: 1874 is on hiatus, the show’s official Instagram account posted a photo of Joy, Benjamin Ayres (who plays Tom Moore), and Milla Morgan (who portrays Rebecca’s daughter, Sarah), and asked what folks remembered from season 1.

“Summer is a great time to get caught up on Hope Valley: 1874!” the caption read. “Learn the origin story of our little community by streaming all episodes on @hallmarkplus. For those who watched, what were some of your favorite moments in the first season, #Hearties?”

While many shared their favorite moments from Hope Valley: 1874 in the comments, others said they’d love to see the show air on primetime instead.

“Wish we could watch it on regular Hallmark!” one person lamented in the comments. “Me too,” another agreed. “Put it on regular Hallmark…please,” a different follower begged.

As of right now, Hope Valley: 1874 is only available to watch on Hallmark+, and is exclusive to the streamer. But if you opt to sign up for the site, which costs $7.99 per month, you’ll be ready when new episodes start airing next year.

“Hope Valley: 1874’s dream cast led by Bethany Joy Lenz, Benjamin Ayres, and Jill Hennessy has brought to life the rich characters and beautiful story crafted by showrunner Alfonso Moreno,” said Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming, Hallmark Media, back in May (per Deadline). “Our fans and press alike have enthusiastically embraced the series, making it especially rewarding to continue telling this story.”

Exciting!
