Former Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron celebrated the season 25 premiere with a throwback Instagram.
Fans begged Tom to return to DWTS years after he was let go from the ABC/Disney+ series.
Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are the current hosts of Dancing With the Stars.
Heads up, Dancing With the Stars fans! Tom Bergeron is taking a walk down memory lane.
On September 17, the former DWTS host took to Instagram to celebrate the show’s season 35 premiere two days earlier. He posted a throwback video from his appearance as a judge for the 20th anniversary in November 2025. In the video, Tom and current host Alfonso Ribeiro perform a skit where Tom picks the locks to his old dressing room.
He also commented on the new format of the premiere week, which included two episodes this season.
“Congrats to my buddies at @dancingwiththestars for their strong start to Season 35,” he wrote in the caption. “I TOLD you 2 nights were better than one (“cough”…Results Show… “cough” 😉). Here’s a #throwbackthursday repost of one of my favorite parts of returning for last year’s 20th Anniversary episode: goofing around with @therealalfonsoribeiro.”
Shortly after Tom posted the moment, fans commented online.
“We still miss you, and the show will never be the same without you!!” one person wrote in the comments. “We miss you, Tom! (love Alfonso, though),” another exclaimed. “We need more of this @therealalfonsoribeiro @tombergeron 🔥🔥🔥,” a different follower added.
Tom hosted DWTS from season 1 until he and co-host Erin Andrews were let go after season 28 in 2019. The two were eventually replaced by Tyra Banks as host, before Alfonso joined her in season 31. Now, Alfonso hosts DWTS alongside former pro and judge Julianne Hough, who stepped in as host in season 32.
We want to see Tom back on Dancing With the Stars ASAP!
